Summer Camps in central London that are ideal for Kids and Busy Parents

29th June, 2018

As parents we all know how tough it can be to arrange your kids’ time over the summer holidays, and even more so if you’re a busy parent or have your own working commitments.

Sometimes it can turn into a logistical nightmare, especially when trying to arrange childcare around working hours.

A typical week could include different locations, people you know lending a hand, relying on friends and relatives, or signing your child up to a summer camp that runs at inconvenient daily hours.

There’s also the consideration of what to get your kids to do, and whether or not the options will take childcare vouchers or not.

That’s where our central London summer camps can help.

We run fun and engaging tech summer camps in various London locations, including our most central location in the South Kensington area.

Currently we have spaces available at our South Kensington summer camp, but they are filling up fast, so we would advise booking as soon as you can.

But why would you choose our central London summer camps over another option?

Probably the most important consideration is what your child will get out of the camp.

We have a wide range of technology-based courses ranging from learning to code, to creating their own robots, through to learning how to touch type and design their own video games including Minecraft.

The full list of courses can be found on our course page, and include:

  • 3D Game Design – ages 10 to 14
  • 3D Modelling & Printing – ages 10 to 14
  • Java Coder – ages 11 to 15
  • Lego Robotics Junior - ages 7 to 10
  • Lego Robotics Senior – ages 10 to 14
  • Minecraft with Mods – ages 7 to 10
  • Minecraft Redstone – ages 9 to 12
  • Mobile Game Design – ages 9 to 13
  • Python Coder – ages 10 to 15
  • Scratch with Ozobot – ages 7 to 10
  • Touch Typing for Kids - ages 7 to 15

They are an ideal choice if you want your child to have fun, but also learn something at the same time.

And what about the other considerations, and how they could appeal to you as a parent?

Here’s a real quick overview of what we can offer:

  • 8 to 1 pupil to teacher ratio
  • Ofsted registered
  • Accept childcare vouchers (see which we accept)
  • Running from 9am to 5pm
  • Structured learning
  • Over 21 years of experience
  • Easy transport links

All we ask is that you get your child to our summer camp on time, and we will do the rest and keep them fully occupied until 5pm that day.

Transport Links

Our South Kensington kids’ summer camp is in central London, running daily from the Baden-Powell House located at Queen's Gate.

It’s situated roughly halfway between the Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stations, being just a 5-minute walk from either stop.

It’s also located on major bus routes through central London with the bus numbers 70, 74, and 360 stopping close by.

Alternatively, the closest mainline train station is Victoria, or you can drive to us and park up on the pay and display parking outside for drop offs.

On summer days and weather permitting, we make use of the roof terrace, so your child won’t be stuck indoors all day.
