GCSE IT
Added Advantage
At the end of the SA Series, FunTech ordinarily offers a GCSE in ICT.
This offering is not only solely based upon achieving an actual GCSE grade, but much more importantly allows our younger students the experience of the entire GCSE process: including understanding criteria, timetabling, coursework execution, revision and exam techniques and so on. This means that FunTech students have a major advantage as they will know what to expect when it comes to taking GCSE’s in Year 10/11. They will not have to take their 10 -12 GCSE’s without experience of formal examination requirements beforehand.
As the syllabus changes on a very regular basis (minimum every two years), we will look at this option nearer the time, if you feel you wish to offer it to your child.
Pre-Requisites: The GCSE ICT courses requires that a student should either have completed the FunTech Stepped Approach series of courses or be able to demonstrate an equivalent and high level set of ICT skills.
